This is a contract dispute between a borrower and a lender. Plaintiff Kathryn Price alleges that Defendants HSBC Mortgage Services, Inc. [HSBC], an Illinois-based lender and purchaser of residential mortgage loans, and Intervale Mortgage Corporation [Intervale], a New Jersey-based lender and purchaser of residential mortgage loans, illegally extended her a loan she could not afford to repay.
