WALLER, Chief Justice,
for the Court:
¶ 1. Amanda Goforth, a former high-school teacher, was indicted on five counts of sexual battery involving one of her former students. She was convicted on two counts and acquitted on the remaining three. Because we find that Goforth was not afforded a constitutionally adequate opportunity to confront one of the witnesses against her, we reverse. Further, we find that Goforth’s conviction and sentence must be reversed and rendered.
