RONEY, Circuit Judge:

The Norwegian vessel BETTINA was involved in a collision in Panama Canal waters while being piloted by an employee of the Panama Canal Company. BETTI-NA’s owner seeks indemnity from the Company for damages paid the other vessel and for the expenses of its own repairs incurred in settlement of a lawsuit brought against the BETTINA in Holland. From a judgment against it, the Panama Canal Company contends the district court erroneously judged the reasonableness of the Dutch settlement on the basis of the probable results of the Dutch litigation.
