PARSONS, J.

This case is before us upon appeal of the respondent from a decree of the circuit judge awarding complainant specific performance of an oral agreement for the subletting of certain land in Kalopa, Hamakua, Hawaii, forming part of the premises covered by general lease No. 1903 from the commissioner of public iands to respondent. The amended bill of complaint alleges in part and in effect that the land thus agreed to be sublet by the respondent to the complainant comprises 300 acres therein more particularly described and lying at the makai end of the strip…
