In this case the defendant in error, John Coombs, hereinafter called plaintiff, brought this action against the plaintiff in error, R. N. King, hereinafter called defendant, to recover the sum of $847, which he alleges was due him for services in obtaining an oil and gas mining lease covering the lands of Mrs. Bushyhead, in the Cherokee Nation. From the case-made it appears that the plaintiff was engaged in taking oil and gas leases on lands in the Cherokee Nation, and that the defendant told plaintiff he understood plaintiff was taking some leases; that the plaintiff…
