UNITED STATES BANKRUPTCY COURT DISTRICT OF NEW MEXICO In re: RAYMOND ARCHULETTA, Case No. 19-10038-ta7 Debtor. OPINION Before the Court is an objection to Debtor’s claim of a homestead exemption for an undivided ¼ interest in a house. The basis for the objection is that the house is titled in the name of Debtor’s deceased parents rather than Debtor. Under New Mexico’s intestate succession laws, the house will pass in equal shares to Debtor and his three siblings, subject to the rights of estate creditors.
