OPINION

Blume, Chief Justice.

In this case the defendant was accused of murder in the first degree for killing her new-born child. She was convicted by a jury of manslaughter. The jury added to the verdict a recommendation of a minimum sentence. The court sentenced her to prison for the minimum period of two years and the maximum period of four years. From that conviction and sentence the defendant has appealed. We should mention, before proceeding further, that her counsel on this appeal was not her counsel in the trial of this case.
