The services, for which the appellee sues in this case, extended over a period of nearly ten years, to-wit: from August 1, 1882, to March 30, 1892. Whether or not there was a contract between appellee and appellant, that he would pay her for services, is a matter about which there is a conflict in the evidence, she asserting that there was such a contract and he denying it. But if there was such a contract, as is claimed by appellee, which was partly express and partly implied, it is not denied that the contract was a merely oral one.
