On May 9, 1904, the undivided one half of the north one half of section 8, township 53, range 10, in Lake county, in which the plaintiff claims an interest, was regularly, sold for the 1902 tax, amounting to $12.21, and bid in by the state. On July 15, 1905, the certificate was assigned to defendant for $12.52, the original amount of the sale and interest to date of the assignment.
