People v. Ward
Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York
1Opinion of the Court
Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Goldstein, J.), rendered December 10, 1985, convicting him of manslaughter in the first degree (two counts), upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a hearing, of that branch of the defendant’s omnibus motion which was to suppress a videotaped statement.
Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.
The defendant contends what his videotaped confession was erroneously admitted at trial since it had been obtained in violation of his right to counsel. We disagree.
