Here on discretionary review is a trial court order appointing a receiver for Northwest Defenders Association, a nonprofit corporation. The order empowers the receiver to remove and replace Northwest’s board of directors and corporate management. We hold the receivership was appropriately ordered on two statutory grounds. By allowing its board of directors to become defunct, Northwest forfeited its corporate rights; and because receivership was preferable to shutting down the corporation and terminating services to its clients, receivership was necessary to secure ample justice between the…
