On June 2, 1950, the Board of Adjustment of the City of Pittsburgh ■ granted an occupancy permit for a light machine shop to Oscar J. Glies' as owner, and Harry C. Williams as lessee, of a building known as 519-521-523 Foreland Street. On ■ August- 21, 1950, Marie- S: Ferraro protested the issuance of the permit, and on September 20, 1950, after hearings and an inspection -of the premises, the Board of Adjustment entered an order directing the Bureau' of Building Inspection to order cessation of the use of the premises as a machine shop.
