OPINION
MURRAY, Justice.
The plaintiffs appeal from a Superior Court order vacating a default judgment that had been entered against the defendant. We conclude that the trial justice did not err in granting the motion to vacate the default judgment.
The following facts have been established. This civil action was filed by plaintiffs Rosemary and Frank Clark on February 16, 1976, as a result of an alleged assault and battery committed by defendant against Ms.- Clark.
