The defendant, Tyrone Douglas Carolina, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of two counts of risk of injury to a child in violation of General Statutes § 53-21 (a) (2), two counts of risk of injury to a child in violation of § 53-21 (a) (1) and one count of tampering with a witness in violation of General Statutes § SSa-lSl.1 On appeal, the defendant claims that (1) the evidence was insufficient to convict him of the crime of tampering with a witness, (2) certain prosecutorial improprieties during closing arguments deprived him of his due…
