The plaintiff brings this action to recover for injuries alleged to have been sustained by the decedent while working for the defendant between the 1st day of April, 1931, and the 1st day of April, 1932. The injuries, it is charged, resulted in a disease known as silicosis. The decedent died about one year after the last mentioned date from cancer.
