This case arises from an automobile accident which occurred on July 21, 1993. Angela Moore and Hannah Moore, the appellants, were guest passengers in a car driven by Judy O’Neal. O’Neal was distracted by children in the back seat as she approached and stopped at a stop sign. It is undisputed that O’Neal pulled away from the stop sign and into the path of an oncoming pickup truck owned by TCI Cablevision of Georgia, Inc.
