This case involves a claim by the plaintiff, an attorney, for damages for legal services allegedly rendered to the defendant. The sole issue in this certified appeal is whether the Appellate Court properly dismissed the plaintiffs appeal. One of the issues raised in that appeal was whether the trial court, during the hearing on the plaintiffs motion for reargument, improperly denied the plaintiffs motion for a continuance for the purpose of filing a motion to substitute a representative of the defendant’s estate for the defendant following the defendant’s death.
