LEVAL, Circuit Judge:

This appeal raises the question whether a previously convicted felon, charged with illegal possession of a firearm under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1) and reasonably found to be so dangerous that no “combination of conditions [of release] will reasonably assure ... the safety of any other person and the community,” 18 U.S.C. § 3142(e), may be detained pending trial.
