This appeal arises from the denial by the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut (Squatrito, J.) of a petition for a writ of habeas corpus brought pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241 against respondent John Ashcroft, Attorney General of the United States (“the government”).
