In this declaratory judgment action, plaintiff John S. Nolan, an insurance agent, seeks to have himself declared one of the assignees and beneficiaries of a term life insurance policy issued to one of his clients. Defendant insurer, Jackson National Life Insurance Company (Jackson National), contends that Nolan’s client canceled the policy and that there is no valid policy of which Nolan is now an assignee or beneficiary.
