Massachusetts Appeals Court

1Opinion of the CourtGrasso, J.

A judge of the Superior Court allowed motions to suppress evidence filed by the defendants Kashmoni Murphy *12and Michael Brown, resulting in suppression of a gun found in a motor vehicle rented by Murphy and drugs found on Brown’s person.2 The matters come before us on the Commonwealth’s interlocutory appeal, allowed by a single justice of the Supreme Judicial Court under Mass.R.Crim.P. 15(b), as appearing in 422 Mass. 1501 (1996), and reported to this court for determination. We affirm the orders of suppression.
