A jury convicted Terrence Carmichael of one count of the offense of continuous sexual abuse of a child, one count of the offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and two counts of the offense of indecency with a child. The trial court assessed Carmichael’s punishment at life imprisonment for the offenses of continuous sexual abuse of a child and aggravated sexual assault óf a child and twenty years’ imprisonment for each count of the offense of indecency with a child.
