On February 1, 1982, the defendant was convicted of four counts of robbery in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (4).1 *7He subsequently was sentenced to an effective prison term of not less than ten nor more than twenty years, execution suspended after ten years and five years probation.
