The plaintiff, Ethel Clark, only heir at law of John W. Clark, deceased, brought this action to recover from defendants the possession of the west half of the northeast quarter of section 16, township 10 north, of range 10, in Cass county, Nebraska, excepting the northeast fourth of the northwest fourth of the northeast quarter thereof, and álso to recover the rents and profits of said land for four years prior to the commencement of the action.
