An information was filed in the superior court of the county of Humboldt, charging that the defendant, on the fifth day of October, 1918, within no-license territory, “did willfully, knowingly and unlawfully, sell, furnish, distribute and give away alcoholic liquors, to wit: whisky . . . to, George Normile and Dan Rogers and other persons whose names are unknown.” Defendant was convicted of the crime charged in the information and was sentenced to pay a fine of six hundred dollars, or if the fine be not paid to be imprisoned in the county jail one day for each two dollars of said fine.
