2Per curiam

This is an application for writ of mandamus seeking to have the Honorable Gene Ater, Judge sitting by assignment in the 70th, 161st, 244th and 358th District Courts of Ector County, Texas, removed from thirteen cases pending in those courts and to have all orders set aside. Relators contend that Judge Ater, a retired judge, was improperly assigned to hear the cases in question. Because mandamus is not a proper remedy, the application is denied.
