On October 31, 1996, respondents A1 Herr-mann (Herrmann), the sole owner and only employee of A1 Herrmann Construction, Inc. (AHC), and AHC commenced a legal malpractice action against appellants McMeno-my & Severson, P.A. and two of its attorneys, Michael G. Dougherty and Larry S.
