THE COURT.

The Standard Oil Company of California commenced this action by filing a complaint in interpleader. Said company purchased oil produced on Block V, Signal Hill, Los Angeles County, from lessees operating wells on said block under a lease providing for a 16% per cent or % landowner’s royalty. . Under the complaint interpleader the Standard Oil Company deposited in court $71,980.28, the landowner’s one-sixth share of the purchase price due from it, and prayed that the court determine conflicting claims thereto.
