¶1 This case is about determining the proper procedure when a party files documents contemporaneously with a motion to seal. GR 15 governs the general procedure for sealing court records. King County has adopted Local General Rule (LGR) 15 whereby documents are submitted along with the sealing motion directly to the hearing judge. If the motion is denied, the documents in question are filed by the judge with the clerk and are open to the public.
