MOORE, Circuit Judge.

Plaintiff-appellee Erik Conte successfully sued defendant General Housewares Corp. (“GHC”) and defendant-appellant Dayton Power and Light Co. (“DP & L”) in connection with severe personal injuries that he received as a result of a large electrical shock and obtained a verdict of $3.5 million. DP & L now appeals several of the district court’s rulings with respect to that verdict and with respect to the award of prejudgment interest against DP & L.
