The defendant, Jeremy Ferreira, was convicted,

after a jury-waived trial, of negligently operating a motor vehicle pursuant to G. L. c. 90, § 24(2)(a).1 The charge resulted from *33an incident involving the defendant’s operation of a motor vehicle in a shopping center parking lot.2 The issues presented on appeal are (1) whether sufficient evidence existed to support the conviction of negligently operating the vehicle, and (2) whether the statute is unconstitutionally vague. We affirm.
