Plaintiff, the respondent, brought this action in ejectment against the defendant, appellant, to recover possession of 1,929.81 acres, more or less, of mining land in Placer County, and for damages for the alleged wrong ful withholding of possession after demand by the corporation. From a judgment for plaintiff awarding it possession of the property and rental value damages for wrongful withholding defendant has appealed.
