PRYOR, Circuit Judge:
Samuel David Crowe, who pleaded guilty to the murder of Joe Pala and was sentenced to death, now appeals the denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. We must decide whether Crowe has overcome the procedural default of four issues he raised for the first time in his state habeas petition.
