MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

CROW, Senior District Judge.

This is an action to review the final decision of the defendant Commissioner of Social Security (“Commissioner”) denying the claimant Freda Priest’s applications for disability insurance benefits under Title II of the Social Security Act (“Act”) and for supplemental security income (“SSI”) under Title XVI of the Act. The record from the proceedings below has been filed, and both parties have timely filed them respective briefs pursuant to D.Kan. Rule 83.7(d). The case is ripe for decision.
