Antonio Blades appeals the order of the district court 1 granting defendants’ motion for summary judgment and dismissing his complaint with prejudice. We affirm.

Antonio Blades, an inmate of the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, filed a complaint under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, claiming that prison officials violated his eighth amendment rights by failing to protect him from a fellow inmate, Marlon Comes.
