This is a suit on a promissory note for the sum of $500, with interest, etc., of date October 24, 1904, payable November 24, 1904, and secured by assignment of five shares of the capital stock of the Redlands Hospital Association of the par value of $500. The complaint, which was filed January 3, 1906, alleges the execution of the note, which is set out at length, and that the same has not been paid, nor any part thereof. There is no allegation that the plaintiff at the time of the commencement of the suit was the owner or holder of the note; but such an allegation was unnecessary. (Bank of…
