Poeppel appeals from the district court’s orders awarding summary judgment to Hartford Insurance Company (Hartford) on her action seeking to recover the proceeds on an accidental death and dismemberment policy pursuant to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001—1461 (2000), and denying her motion to alter or amend judgment pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P. 59(e).
