In this workers’ compensation matter, the plaintiff, Marjorie Voronuk, appeals from the decision of the workers’ compensation review board (board) affirming the workers’ compensation commissioner’s dismissal of her claim against the defendant Electric Boat Corporation 1 for survivor’s benefits pursuant to General Statutes § 31-306. On appeal, the plaintiff claims that board improperly concluded that the commissioner properly applied the substantial contributing factor test when he found that the decedent’s workplace exposure to asbestos was not a substantial contributing factor…
