MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

This case was tried before the Court without a jury on March 15, 1978 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The action is one for money damages filed by Florencio Román, Inc., a fruit and vegetable distributor and importer, against the Puerto Rico Maritime Shipping Authority, a public corporation of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, which acts as a maritime carrier pursuant to the relevant statutes.
