delivered the opinion for a unanimous Court.

Appellant was indicted in 1991 on a charge of burglary of a habitation. In January, 1993, appellant entered a plea of nolo contendere. The trial court deferred adjudication of guilt and placed him on probation for seven years. The state filed a motion to revoke probation 1 on October 13, 1993, alleging failure to report, failure to pay as ordered, and failure to complete community service.
