—In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendants appeal, as limited by their brief, from so much of a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Hubsher, J.), entered February 27, 2001, as, upon a jury verdict, is in fávor of the *298plaintiff and against them in the principal sum of $400,000 for past pain and suffering and $325,000 for future pain and suffering.
