I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiff Tyrita Thomas filed this lawsuit against her former employer, Defendant District of Columbia, alleging that she was unlawfully denied leave under the Family Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”) and the District of Columbia Family Medical Leave Act (“DCFMLA”). Plaintiff worked most recently as a fingerprint specialist in the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department.
