Mark Alen Ford was charged with five violations of federal narcotics and firearms laws. On the day trial was scheduled to begin, he entered a plea of guilty to one of the narcotics and one of the firearms charges. Ford subsequently filed two motions to withdraw his guilty plea, both of which were denied by the District Court. He was then sentenced to 63 months incarceration and 3 years of supervised release.
