MOON, C.J.

Defendant-appellant Fred Silva III was convicted of Assault in the First Degree in violation of Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 707-710. Silva appeals his conviction claiming that there was insufficient evidence adduced at trial to convict him of the offense charged. Silva also claims that he was rendered ineffective assistance of counsel at trial. We affirm.
