Appellant was convicted by a general court-martial at Beale Air Force Base, California, of wrongful use of methamphetamine, pursuant to his conditional plea of guilty;2 wrongful appropriation of an automobile of a value of $500.00, pursuant to his plea of guilty to a lesser-included offense; and a 1-day absence without authority terminated by apprehension, pursuant to his plea of guilty, in violation of Articles 112a, 121, and 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 912a, 921, and 886, respectively.
