ARNOLD, Circuit Judge.

Todd Lawrence appeals his conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(1) and 924(e)(1). He raises three issues. First, Lawrence claims that the District Court 1 erred in failing to suppress statements he made while in the custody of the arresting officer without the benefit of Miranda warnings.
