LEIBSON, Justice.

Holbrook and Petty are codefendants under indictment in Jefferson Circuit Court for sex offenses arising out of a single criminal episode. The Commonwealth filed a motion asking the trial court to order both appellants to submit to the taking of “blood, head hair, body hair, saliva, and pubic hair specimen.... for testing and comparison with evidence gathered during the investigation into the rape, sodomy and sexual abuse charges placed against” them.
