In this interlocutory appeal 1 the People challenge the order of the Arapahoe County District Court suppressing evidence discovered by an officer of the Aurora Police Department (the officer) in a search of the automobile driven by the defendant, Garland Rahming. The officer conducted the search of the automobile during an investigative detention of the defendant and two other occupants of the car the defendant was driving.
