Defendants Bandy and Holman were charged jointly with uttering two checks in violation of Penal Code, section 476a. In other counts of the same information defendants Bandy and Callahan were charged jointly with uttering two other checks in violation of the same statute. The information charged defendant Bandy with two prior convictions for violations of the same statute, and defendant Callahan with three prior convictions for forgery.
