Pro se appellant Robert Dziurgot, an attorney, was convicted on April 10, 1980, following a jury trial, of income tax evasion and related offenses. He was sentenced on May 9, 1980, to a number of concurrent terms of two years’ imprisonment, a two-year suspended sentence, and probation for five years. Following a separate trial he was also convicted on September 22, 1980, of receipt and interstate transportation of stolen property and sentenced on October 20, 1980, to concurrent terms of five years’ imprisonment, to run consecutive to his pri- or sentence. Dziurgot appealed both convictions.…
